The Henry George Foundation of Great Britain
is pleased to extend an invitation to a meeting to consider

The Influence of Philosophy

on the

Governance of the State

as illustrated by

Marsilio Ficino on Florence

with

Adrian Bertoluzzi

This talk is intended to complement the series of study sessions currently taking place on Plato’s Laws and the commentary that Ficino provided for the de’ Medici rulers of Florence alongside the advice that Henry George provided for governments in his works on Natural Law. In this talk Adrian will provide the context and effects of such advice when offered to the rulers of Florence in the fifteenth century. The talk will be self contained and it is not limited to those who are currently attending the series - all are welcome.
