Syndication and RSS are the same thing, with RSS standing for "Really Simple Syndication".
By clicking on one of the RSS links on the home page of this web site you can obtain a regular feed of new articles and information as and when it appears on this site. This information can be delivered to a page of your own web site, to your email programme such as Outlook, or using a special newsreader programme (these are readily available on the internet).
RSS is a useful tool which allows you to collect fresh information from sites that you value the content of, while not having to go looking for it every time.
Newsfeeds are the other half of the same process.
This site can take information from other sites (with their consent of course) and publish it if it is relevant and interesting to our readers. In this situation we would gain interesting content, and the donor site would gain a link from us, giving it increased prestige and traffic.
At present we are not using any incoming newsfeeds on this site - all our content is original, but the option remains for the future should we choose to use it.
